Sihanouk Ville (Khmer: ក្រុងព្រះសីហនុ – Krong Preah Sihanouk), also known as Kampong Som is a small province in southern Cambodia on the Gulf of Thailand. This port city is a growing Cambodian urban center, located 232 kilometres southwest of the Cambodian capital, Phnom Penh on National Highway 4.
The main attractions of the province is Beaches and islands for national and foreign visitors. Sihanoukville has gradually been redeveloped as a one of Cambodia’s popular tourist destination beside Phnom Penh, Siem Reap. Beaches that line the west contour of the city from north to south are Victory Beach, Lamherkay Beach, Koh Pos Beach, Independence Beach, Sokha Beach, Serendipity Beach, Ochheuteal Beach and Otres Beach. The most popular beaches are Ochheuteal, Sokha, Independence and Victory. Tourists can take water taxis to the nearby islands for diving, snorkeling, and game fishing.

Sihnoukvill can also be entered directly through Koh Kong Province from nearby Thailand, as more and more tourists do on this road. It enter either by the new built Major Road 48 passing the edge of the Cardamom Mountains or by speedboat from Koh Kong town, next to the Thai border.
